Engraving Area Picker
Pick the product and the photo, drag the box over the engravable surface, then copy the five values into that product's metafields. The storefront draws from exactly these numbers.
1 · Choose
Photo 1 is the main image. Choose the one that shows the surface you engrave on.
Drag the box to move it. Drag a corner to resize. Or click it and use the arrow keys — arrows nudge, shift+arrows resize.
3 · Copy into the product
| Metafield | Value | |
|---|---|---|
| valor.engrave_media | — | |
| valor.engrave_box | — | |
| valor.engrave_scale | — | |
| valor.engrave_tone | — | |
| valor.engrave_rotate | — |
Where these go. Products → the product → Metafields at the bottom of the page. Paste each value into the matching field and save. Reload the product page to see it.
2 · Tune
Zoom magnifies around the box so you can place it precisely on a small surface.
Tone describes your photo, not the metal. Dark for a polished silver face where the cut reads grey. Light for a black or dark-coated piece. Deep is a harder shadow for a wide flat bar.
Sanity check. Type the longest thing a customer could order. If it shrinks to something unreadable, the character limit is too high — and on a non-returnable engraved piece that is a remake you pay for.
